Soroka Claims Vice-Champion In Kartstars

November 15, 2020

Toronto, Ontario

A stellar season in the KartStars series saw Robert Soroka walk away as Vice-Champion. He made the most of the four events finishing on the podium all four times with three runner up finishes and a single third-place finish.

The ultimate race in the series, the KartStars Nationals had Robert walk away as Vice-National Champion after some bad luck. The weather played a pivotal role in the race finish as the rain rolled through. With the rain ending before the race and the track starting to dry, teams were left scrambling with setups. Roberts team opted for a wet weather setup which saw him dominate 17 of 18 laps. Unfortunately on the last lap, he was overtaken by a driver who had gambled on a dry tire setup. Soroka’s tires were no longer up to the task, and they failed one lap short of victory putting him 2nd at the National event.

“It was unfortunate to come up short on the last lap of the Nationals, but I have to thank Kevin Glover Racing and my dad for providing me with a winning package. We were right there until the end, one less lap and we would have been victorious. Regardless I can’t let this overshadow the stellar season overall in 2020 including coming out as overall KartStars series Vice-Champion.”
