2018 Season Recap

December 22, 2018

The 2018 season proved to be Robert’s breakout year. He graduated from ROK Jr. to the ultra competitive ROK Sr. division, winning the first event and dominating many national events in both Canada and the United States.

In Canada, Robert won the overall championships in both the Toronto Racing Association of Karters (TRAK) and the Mosport International Karting Association (MIKA) series. His success on his home soil continued with multiple national level PFAFF KartSport Cup series event wins and achieving Vice-Champion in the national series Ron Fellows Karting Challenge (CRFKC). In the United States, Robert competed in various prestigious, internationally recognized series and events, including the Florida Winter Tour, SKUSA SummerNationals, and ROK the RIO in Las Vegas.

These events provided Robert with immeasurable exposure and experience, proven by a mid-season offer to test a Formula 4 (F4) car for Jay Howard Racing in the 2019 season. In late 2018, JHR confirmed that Robert would be running a full F4 US Championship season with the team. With a long list of podium results and race wins as proof of his abilities, Robert is well-equipped to advance his motorsports career to the next levels this year.
