A dominating performance at the Canadian National Championship provided Robert with the opportunity to test the New Speed Motorsports Pinty’s NASCAR.
The test was held at Shannoville Motorsports Park. The weather was not on the side of Robert as it rained on and off all day, making the 600hp stock car challenging to control. Even though conditions were not ideal, Robert was able to show his true driving talents learning how the car reacted in different corners and putting in some fast laps once he familiarized himself with the setup.
“I learned how to drive a monster car in wet and semi-dry conditions. Some corners had small ponds at the apex, others were very slick. Although it was challenging, I was able to quickly adapt to the conditions. I would definitely go back for another test, it really opened my eyes up to how fun stock car racing could be.”
